The truth is, this is Scifi and she’s in this catatonic trance caused by this alien thingy; and while she’s in this state, her coworker / friend meets her by chance in an elevator. He then sees an opportunity to confess his undying love to her without knowing she’s not completely there.
By the way, she’s muttering “danger, danger, danger” to herself.
This is a secne from the Babylon5 movie (spin-off from the Scifi series Babylon5). The guys only put this scene in the movie because they were three minutes short. Apparently, they only took one shot of this! The actors got it perfect on the first try!
